Veterans One-stop Center of WNY Appoints Chuck Marra President & CEO



Col. John Higgins (Ret), Chairman of the Board of Directors, is proud to announce the appointment of Chuck Marra as the President & CEO of the Veterans One-stop Center of WNY (“the One-stop”). Marra was most recently the Executive Director of the Western New York Chapter of the American Red Cross.

As President of the Veterans One-stop Center, Marra will oversee all of the One-stop’s programs that assist Veterans in achieving economic success, housing stability and emotional health and well-being including the PFC Joseph Dwyer Peer to Peer Counseling Program, the America’s Warrior Partnership Empower Communities to Empower Veterans program, Supportive Services for Veteran Families (in partnership with Chautauqua Opportunities), Operation Family Caregiver, Children of the Military, and the Housing Alliance of WNY Ending Veterans Homelessness program.

A graduate of Niagara University, Marra served as Director of Appeal Operations and Director of Advancement for Catholic Charities of Buffalo from 2012-2014. Previously, Marra was Major Gifts Officer at the Foundation for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo.

“Chuck’s experience running the WNY Chapter of the American Red Cross along with his strong fundraising experience make him the ideal person to lead the Veteran’s One-stop Center of WNY to the next level” said Higgins. “His collaborative style of management mirrors the One-stop’s approach to serving veterans, and his experience working with the Red Cross Services to Armed Forces program adds to our confidence that he is the right choice to lead the agency”
