In an exciting new partnership, NAMI Buffalo & Western New York is teaming up with the Veterans One-Stop Center to offer NAMI National's signature Homefront education program to family members, loved ones, and caregivers of those that are serving, or have served, in the military.

About the event
NAMI's Family-to-Family program, Homefront is a free 6-week education program for adult loved ones of military Service Members who experience symptoms of a mental health condition. Designed to help family members and caregivers understand, support, and advocate for their loved one, the course offers participants:
Strategies to care for yourself, including managing your stress
How to support your family member with compassion
Ways to identify and access federal, state and local services
Where to find information about the latest research and information on mental health, including PTSD, traumatic brain injury, anxiety, depression and substance use
Crisis management, problem solving and effective communication.
