In order to better serve veterans and their family members through its website, the Veterans One-stop Center of WNY is required to collect personal information that may include customer names, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail addresses, and applicable business information. By providing this information, website users consent to the use of any/all of this information to render services, provide customer care, and for official business of the organization.


Unless you consent to the contrary, your personal information will/may be used to provide customer service, manage and update your account information, verify access to services and software, improve website quality, provide you with updates, collect marketing data, maintain records, address complaints, process business information, monitor website traffic, enforce this privacy policy, respond to violations of client’s rights, company rights, or those of any third party, and as required by law.


Though the organization does not anticipate collecting personal information from children, the Veterans One-stop Center of WNY does not knowingly collect or distribute information from individuals under the age of 13.

Your personal information will only be used for the purposes for which the information was collected, and will not be distributed, shared, or sold to any third parties without your express consent to do so unless disclosure is necessary in accordance with the law.

The Veterans One-stop Center of WNY has taken measures to ensure the safety and integrity of your personal information as well as any loss, misuse, disclosure, modification or unauthorized access to that information. Despite these efforts, there is still risk involved with any data transferred over the internet. It is important that you maintain the secrecy of your personal information, identification, and password. We rely on notification from individuals if there is a change to their information that might affect their relationship with the organization.

Should your personal information change or should you desire access to your information, it is your right to access and make changes to it at any time through the Veterans One-stop Center of WNY’s website interface. Please ensure that your information is current and accurate so as to maintain a cohesive relationship between yourself and the organization.

At times, your information may be collected for internal and/or professional use such as research and evaluation. In these instances, the data used will be stripped of any personal information and combined with similar data. Your identity will be kept completely anonymous.

Computer Tracking and Cookies

 

Dictionary.com defines a cookie as “a message, or segment of data, containing information about a user, sent by a web server to a browser and sent back to the server each time the browser requests a Web page.” The Veterans One-stop Center of WNY’s website uses cookies for tracking statistics and monitoring web traffic on its site. This information is gathered in order to monitor web traffic, and to ensure content is delivered properly when users interact with the URL. These tracking files are not intended to collect or distribute personal information and will not be used for identification purposes on your machine.

Donations

 

All donations received through the Veterans One-stop Center of WNY’s Donation Form are processed securely through a PayPal checkout form, and are subject to PayPal’s User Agreement.
